GuruHub Edu ("GuruHub", "we", "us", or "our") is a learning platform that lets people

take video courses and quizzes or create and teach their own. This Privacy Policy

explains what information we collect through our mobile apps and website, how we use it,

and the choices you have. By using GuruHub Edu you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:



Account information — your name, email address, and password. If you sign in with

Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier

from that provider instead of a password.

Profile information — an optional profile photo, a short bio or description, and

whether you use the app as a learner, an instructor, or both.

Learning activity — the courses you enroll in, your lesson playback position (so

you can resume where you stopped), and your quiz attempts and results.

Instructor content — if you teach, the courses, sections, lessons, videos,

question banks, and quizzes you create and the students you enroll and manage.

Messages — communications between instructors and students, and any requests you

send us (for example, support or account-deletion requests).

Device and technical information — a push notification device token, basic device

and app information, IP address, and log data used to operate and secure the service

(including anti-abuse checks via Firebase App Check).



2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:



Create and manage your account and authenticate you when you sign in.

Deliver core features — course playback, progress tracking, quizzes and results,

enrollments, and instructor tools.

Send you notifications about new lessons, enrollments, quiz results, and messages (see

Push Notifications below).

Provide offline downloads of supported courses to your device.

Maintain the security of the platform, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.

Understand how the service is used so we can improve it, and to comply with our legal

obligations.



3. Push Notifications

With your permission, we register a device token so we can send you push notifications

about activity relevant to you, such as new lessons, enrollments, quiz results, and

messages. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings; core

features of the app will continue to work.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following

circumstances:



Instructors and organizations — if you are a learner, the instructor of a course

you enroll in (and the organization they belong to, if any) can see your enrollment,

progress, and quiz results for that course, and can message you.

Service providers — companies that help us run the platform, including cloud

hosting, video storage and streaming, and Google Firebase (used for sign-in, push

notifications, and abuse prevention). They may process data only on our behalf.

Sign-in providers — when you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, that

authentication is handled by the provider under their own privacy policies.

Legal reasons — when required to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or

protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the public.



5. Offline Downloads

If you download supported courses for offline use, that content and your related

progress are stored on your device so you can learn without a connection. Offline

content is tied to your account and access may expire in line with your enrollment.

6. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to

provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal

information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to

meet legal, security, or dispute-resolution obligations.

7. Data Security

We work hard to protect GuruHub Edu and our users from unauthorized access to, or

unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of, information we hold. Passwords

are stored in hashed form, connections are encrypted in transit, and we apply access

controls and abuse-prevention measures. No method of transmission or storage is

completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You can access and update most of your account and profile information directly in the

app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your

data, correct it, or ask us to delete it.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from our

account-deletion page or by contacting us. You can also control push notifications

through your device settings.

9. Children's Privacy

GuruHub Edu is not directed to children under the age required by the laws of your

country to consent to the use of online services without parental permission. We do not

knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a

child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take

appropriate steps to remove it.

10. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other

than the one in which you live. Where we transfer information across borders, we take

steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and

applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under

this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We will post any changes and update

the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
